Studio Memberships

Hours:

All studio members are required to use the app “Slack.”  This free app will allow you to access the message board for studio members.  A link will be emailed to you to join. Please access the “open studios” channel to see available studio hours. If you have any issues, feel free shoot us a text 864-423-4391 and we will ensure that you have access to the studio.  Members are allowed to work during classes as long as there are open wheels.

Cost:

$100/month

Or $30 for 3 hours (does not include glaze and firings)

NEW: Firings

Members have a few options to choose from depending on your firing needs. Twenty finished pieces per month are included in the membership pricing.

Members that want to finish more than 20 pieces per month have the following options:

Option 1:$50/month Unlimited use of studio glazes and firings or

Option 2: $4 per piece for both bisque and glaze firings

Firing schedule will be communicated through the app Slack.

Members will be invoiced on the first of every month.

Clay:

$20 for a 25lb brick or your welcome to source you own.  Other clay types are permissible however they must be able to be fired to cone 6.

Guests:

Feel free to show guests around the studio when you are working.  If your guest would like some time on the wheel, they are welcome to use the studio as long as other members have access to the studio equipment.  NEW: The cost for guests is $20/visit. Their first visit is FREE!

Membership Responsibilities:

Members are responsible for cleaning their space after working in the studio.  It’s important to the other tenants in our bay that we keep our studio as clean and dust free as possible.  Please keep that in mind while wiping down your area. After working on the wheel, please clean the wheel, tools, any clay splashes on the wall, and the floor around the wheel. NEW: Please mop if necessary.  The floor should be clean of any clay spots.

Hampton Station is a smoke free facility. Please respect our shared spaces by not smoking on the premises.

Disclaimers:

Hollowed Earth Pottery is not responsible for any pottery made by studio members.  HEP will not reimburse or replace studio members pieces if broken or ruined in any firings.
