Hand Building Basics: Pinch, Slab, & Coil

This four week class is structured to provide a foundation of hand building skills Students will create various projects using the techniques of pinching, slab building, and coil building. Projects will change weekly with lots of room for individual creativity while still utilizing that week’s taught technique.

Ages: 12+ No previous clay experience is necessary.

Classes are offered monthly.

Ceramic Cake Slice with Annie Koelle

This is such a special and fun class. In this two session class, use templates to create a cake slice vase and then add the ceramic “icing”. The first class is the making and the second class is adding colors.

May 18th and 25th at 4:30-6:30pm.

June 1st and 8th at 4pm-6pm.

Coiled Amphora

In this special two session class students will use coiling techniques to create amphora shaped vases. Session 1 is construction and session 2 is finessing and adding surface designs (the clay version of paints!)

Taught by local business owner (and plant enthusiast), AJ from Sovereign will be teaching special techniques in creating and decorating the ancient shaped Amphora vase.

Ages 12+, Cost $120, includes all material.

No previous clay experience necessary.
