Hand Building Basics: Pinch, Slab, & Coil

This four week class is structured to provide a foundation of hand building skills Students will create various projects using the techniques of pinching, slab building, and coil building. Projects will change weekly with lots of room for individual creativity while still utilizing that week’s taught technique.

Ages: 12+ No previous clay experience is necessary.

Classes are offered monthly.

Hand Building Basics: Kitchen Essentials

Create beautiful, functional pottery designed for everyday use in this 4 week hand building course. Students will learn and use foundational hand building techniques while creating a curated set of kitchen based projects, such as spoon rests, ingredient bowls, colanders, garlic graters, herb strippers and more. Emphsis is placed on thoughtful design and durability, creating work that feels both intentional and personal.
