Hello!

We are so glad that you found us. We are Mark and Sarah Batory and our daughter is Wren Penelope, "Wren Pen."  Hollowed Earth Pottery is our family business and we've been operating in Greenville, SC since 2015.

Although originally founded in Greenville, Hollowed Earth moved to Wisconsin after an internship with ceramics studio just outside of Milwaukee.  Since returning to the south (thank goodness) in 2015, we opened our home studio where we started teaching.  We recently expanded and relocated to Hampton Station where we have found the coolest community: Dapper Ink, White Duck Taco, and Birds Fly South Brewery to name a few!

Mark started ceramics in 2001 when he was able to get into a ceramics course his freshman year of college.  The rest is history and after graduation he pursued a masters degree in 3D art.  In 2009 we moved to Waukesha, WI to work with a ceramics studio where we managed the studio, classroom, and traveled to art shows.  We've brought our experience home and are so honored to be a part of Greenville's art community.
